NHR 9300-700 High-Voltage Battery Test System

The NHR 9300-700 High-Voltage Battery Test System is a bi-directional DC source with both charge and regenerative discharge capabilities that is intended for quick, programmable operation. The system allows users to test energy storage devices such as batteries, fuel cells, ultra-capacitors, and others by supporting a variety of continuous power, voltage, and current regulatory limits. The automotive, aerospace, heavy industrial, maritime, and energy storage industries, in addition to research facilities and certification labs, are among the industries that use this technology. Battery emulation for different power systems, battery charger testing, and battery charge/discharge cycling are common applications.

With a 700kW rating, the NHR 9300-700 can deliver up to 2331A of current at 600V and 1169A of current at 1200V. In order to ensure versatile and effective testing, the system has fully programmable operational states, including charge, discharge, standby, and battery emulation modes. With great precision, it enables modes for constant voltage, constant current, and constant power. The technology additionally permits precise trip point limitations for voltage, current, and power, guaranteeing operational safety by permitting controlled power flow interruption as required.

This battery test system is modular, scalable, and capable of handling up to 2.4MW of power. It has dual voltage ranges of 600V and 1200V. Each cabinet in the system is rated at 100kW and 333A. Up to 24 cabinets can be used in tandem, increasing the current capacity to 8000A. With the use of advanced SiC technology, the system achieves over 95% regenerative power efficiency. With a slew rate of less than 2 milliseconds, it has a quick transient reaction and allows for quick modifications during testing. Air cooling makes maintenance easier for the system and improves operational dependability.

The NHR 9300-700 has several control interfaces, including SCPI, LabVIEW, IVI Drivers, and a touch panel. Users can simplify control and data management by integrating the system with Enerchron or NI BTS software. Accurate test results are guaranteed by precise measurements and real-time monitoring. Secure operation is ensured by high insulating resistance and integrated safety features, such as emergency power-off switches.
